Angels’ Beach (Dec 2009)

By Bixyl Shuftan

At Cape Suzette in the Sunweaver region is a small but growing beach club, Angels Beach.

The club had some small beginnings, starting off as just big enough for several patrons. “We opened in April, and we have expanded three times,” club owner Nydia Tungsten explained. She credited Kim7 Avril for the idea, “she helped me when I was down and helped me create Nydia's Angels (Nydia’s group). About the same time we were working on the club and it just fell into place.” Nydia credits Treminari Huet with building the club, “this club is her design.” Treminari has been happy with the club’s progress, “I’m glad to see Nydia doing something successful with it. :) “

Of the club’s small and cozy beginnings, Nydia commented, “I like to still think of it that way, compared to the size of most clubs. Angels Beach is a good size. No wasted space to get lost in. No fancy ‘themes’ like space or playing cowboy and Indians or pirates. What we wanted was someplace to come and be themselves and relax just hang out and maybe even meet someone special, kinda like I did at Zero. ... We made the club a beach club because, people go to the beach to have fun. And that is my number one goal, to help people have a good time.”

Nydia herself is an experienced DJ in Second (Life, having played at a number of other clubs, including (but far from limited to) Club Zero Gravity, Xanadu, and Cutlass, “We will be playing what people want to hear music-wise. Our DJ's will be taking requests from all genres, except crap ... I mean rap ... wait, I had it right the first time.“ She also has other DJs on her team. There is Lsai Aeon, coined the “Purple Puppy” by her fans, noted for her Saturday night  antics when DJing. And there is whom Nydia calls her lead DJ, “the mistress of the tunes if you will,” Alexandra Tymets, “I was impressed with her wide selection and general knowledge of music.”

Alexandra, or “Sexy Lexi” as she’s sometimes called, plays a variety of music, “I can do 80s, Trance/Techno, and Eurometal. A little bit of Angry Grrrl Rock too, Pink, Liz Phair, etc. And, umm, of course a selection of silliness. Technically I could even do Classic Rock if it came down to it. I have a little Corsi and Bob Rivers, and of course a ton of Weird Al. Oh and some Lemon Demon and Mc Chris. And if I don't have it, I have a talent for finding it.” During the conversation, Lexi’s neko mousegirl avie, or “Nezumi” as she calls it, had her ears rubbed a few times by a friend, resulting in a surprised squeaky expression, “They keep me around to DJ and make me squeak.” Her friend grinned, “She's our little squeaker toy.”

Scheduled parties are not the only time people gather at Angels Beach. Sometimes a few friends show up just to hang out, or dance to whatever the stream is playing. With the recent expansion, there are cuddle chairs available for couples, plus a fun inner tube ride on the new underdeck underneath the main deck that allows the swimmer to take a leisurely drift on the river around some of the surrounding land, and back to the club. Just be careful of that patch of green ...

Although the club’s general theme is always a beach one, there are themed parties. One was a Wild West party in which most of the people showed up as not cowboys, outlaws, or Indians, but the horses. “Had plenty of horsepower that night,” Nydia joked. Nydia felt the party with the largest turnout was the “Hi-tech Redneck.” The winner, “I think she went for a cyborg rancher. It was pretty inventive ... had a neon coyote, a mech dog, robo horse, had a few good ones.”

Nydia reminded that although the majority of the club’s patrons are furs, all are welcome. There are some normal human avatars in her club group, “Human, neko, merfolk, who ever or what ever you are in Second Life, you will be welcomed. I will be looking for water scenery for the merfolk.” She is also looking for a “mermaid” dance animator for the club. Nydia mentioned one in her staff, Jian Alcot, lives in Europe, and plans to run events at times more convenient to Europeans when more join the group, “if she can get enough from across the pond we will start having Euro-parties as well.”

With Club Zero having to close it’s doors, Nydia made the decision to expand the club’s schedule to fill the hours the space club once held, “I have talked with Ranchan and she and I think Angels beach would do well as the Zero's replacement, so she is supporting me with this by allowing me to send notices in the Zero's groups and she will spend some time here as well as I hope DJ'ing every now and then.” There will be parties every Tuesday and Thursday from 6 to *8 PM Second Life time, and 8 to 10 PM on Saturday nights. For fans of Lsai Aeon, Nydia says she will be taking her act from Club Zero to Angels.

Tonight is the night, Angels beach is BACK, and DJ sexy Lexi will be taking requests with 1000L's on the board, Angels and Demons is the event, so wich ever side you fall on come and say Hi and dance the night away, meet old friends or make a few new ones this is the place to come and relax and Have a good time, Try the Innertube ride, find our cuddle cave, or just enjoy the music Come and Enjoy the the newest Sunweaver club

On Saturday night on December 5, the club held it’s Grand-Reopening party at 8 PM SL time, to celebrate it’s expansion in size and hours. The theme was “Angels & Demons,” with everyone described as enjoying heavenly-looking dancers and having a devil of a time. It was a well-attended bash, with close to two dozen people were at Angels’ beach. There was a contest with a 2000L prize for the winner for best in theme. The result was a tie by Vania Arashi and Alpine Plessis.

The location of the club is at  Cape Suzette (74/ 34/ 24), and has a small website and schedule here - http://sites.google.com/site/angelsbeachclub/schedule-1 .

So for a great day at the beach to play or unwind, and a great place to party at night, come to Angels Beach.

“A little piece of Heaven on the sandy shore.”

This is one of the first articles that I wrote about the Angels/Sunweaver region. It appeared in Second Life Newspaper in December 2009. Less than a year later, the club would be gone when the sim vanished, but it would be an inspiration for the "Happy Vixen" club which appeared at Purfection later. Most of the people mentioned here would also move on as time went on, though the Sunweavers/Angels remember them as part of the history of the community.

Ponyland's Grand Opening

On Sunday April 26 at 6 PM, the opening of a new pony-themed sim was announced. The place, appropriately named "Ponyland," was set up south of the more populated sims of Trotsdale and Pony Town. To celebrate, a party was held to kick off it's official start.

At 6 SLT we're going to kick off the grand opening party to the newest Pony sim on the grid: Ponyland! Big thanks and congrats to Scenty and Old Vamp on all that hard work and the fruition of dreams. (Ame won't be sad if you head over there instead of her slot, she's heading that way after her reading is done)

ScentualLust, one of Luskwood's skunks, was one of the administrators of the sim. She was there and dancing with the ponies on a platform about several dozen meters above the ground.

Among the pony avatars, there was quite a variety.

The floor glowed in places when stepped on.

Michi Lumin wasn't their directly, but did send an alt over.

Panning out, one could see various scenes of the new sim.

A fun time was held by those there at the grand opening party.

*Addition* As it turns out, Scentual isn't just an admin of Ponyland, but it's owner.

Otium and Giovanna

By Gemma Cleanslate

I have been to Otium several times. Franz Markstein , the owner, has created this lovely quiet place on Serena Long Cay for the pleasure of the visitors. He says, “Otium is Latin for leisure and laziness. Otium also explains the philosophy of this archipelagic retreat. Get away from your necessities and obligations and slip into the intellectual leisure of the creative dimension. Otium is the ideal place to relax.“

There are expansive beaches with relaxation places, tiny islands, some of which are private as I found out by the warning. The sounds of the waves and gulls and the views from the beach are so welcome after the business of Second Life. The town sits on a pinnacle reached by a winding steep stairway. Here you find quaint homes and shops, patios and bars in the walled village. It is a very relaxing place.

Now there is an added element to add to the your enjoyment, LINE exhibition permanent of Giovanna Cerise. I have written about Giovanna’s showing of her pieces in LEA and also her Retrospective some months back. When you land you will be in a building where you will see her art on the walls and suspended in air. As you walk out there are pieces spread all throughout the town and outside the walls on the rim of the cliffs. Down on the beach there are more pieces sprinkled across the beach so take a walk there not to miss any.

Giovanna describes the exhibit as, “Creation of a path-research on the infinite freedom hidden in two-dimensional and three-dimensional size. The line, with its lightness incisive, inspired the transposition of the complexity of the solid structures of some of my work in new areas, expression of pure essentiality.”

The pieces are diverse . Out on one of the islands I found ghostly figures hovering over the water called Sirene. Ice Castle on the beach is interactive so hop in.

I know you will enjoy your visit and perhaps return many times to explore the setting . Pick up a notecard at the landing place that has landmarks for various art pieces to help you along the way. Begin your journey here in the ‘museum’  then wander the streets before you make your way to the beach.

Club WELGELEGEN ( Club The Right Spot )

By Wesley Regenbogen

Club “WELGELEGEN’ "roughly translated in English as "Club The Right Spot," is a nice Dutch club and it’s part of a whole sim. The club was created by Laila Streeter and Han Fallen, who remain it's current owners, and was opened on February 27th, 2012. They mostly play music from the 70s, but also other music is played there as well.
Laila and Han and both did a nice job decorating the club and the sim as well. There’s an indian town that they recreated, which is a nice addition to the club. The club’s theme is country and cowboy related. This is a cool theme for a club, if you ask me. Although, I’m not a country music lover myself, people might enjoy this place if they are country music lovers. When you enter the club, you are able to configure the welcome thing on the floor to your personal taste. This is quite unique, I think. It could be that you need to be part of the group to be able to change it, though.
On the sim it’s also possible to take a boat trip. Just click on the boat and you can drive the boat around. This is cool, because I haven’t done that before in Second Life. I must say, it’s an experience. I wasn’t good at it at first, but I’m sure the more I do it, the better I will get at it. There is also the ability to drive a steamboat or a canoe.
There are no events planned, but sometimes there are rezzday parties held at the club. But when when there are public holidays such as : Christmas and New Year and other events, like Carnaval and an Aprés Ski party, they organize parties for them as well. Laila and Han communicate their events ( in Dutch only ) in their group, called also “Club WELGELEGEN”. They also can be found on Facebook, as the owner Han Fallen has a personal page on Facebook. But Han  let me know that they are working on a website and also a Facebook page for the club too, so that will be made in the near future.
Personally, I think the club is nicely decorated and I like it that they made a whole sim in that theme.
So, if you are looking for a club and a cool sim, head over to :Senses Cove (34/128/36)
I hope to see you all there once. But remember this is a Dutch club, so mostly Dutch is spoken there.

Friendly Bear Romantic Forest

By Bixyl Shuftan

Recently a friend showed me a place she and her boyfriend sometimes went to, and thought others might want to experience it as well. The place was the GB Island North sim, the public section of it known as "Friendly Bear Romantic Forest."

Dropping in, I was surrounded by a detailed forest, with lots of flowers and trees. The place was not one continuous island, but broken up a bit with rivers crossing and smaller islands next to the main one with bridges allowing one to cross without the need to swim or fly. Surrounding the island is a panorama of mountains and trees.

There were a number of features around, such as a pier with a rowboat nearby, a campfire with sitting logs around it and a picnic blanket nearby, both of which offered cuddle spots for couples. A small waterfall flowed into a rocky creek. There was a small farm with horses, goats, cows, and sheep wandering about, young animals included. Nearby were a couple bears, one getting a closer look at a beehive. Romance wasn't the only activity available, there was an "En Guarde" game for those wanting to spar.

On arrival, I got a notecard about the location:

Hallo stranger! Thank you very much for your visit. This place was created with no commercial intentions. Please feel free to hang out, explore, relax, dance, love, be part of our music events and have fun!

Help us to celebrate peace and nature with these rulez:

 - no guns
- no drama
- no kids avatars
- respect privacy of other visitors

On this Island you´ll find:
- cozy corners for romance and cuddling
- romantic castle
- decoration following seasons and special days (winter, autumn, spring, xmass, halloween....)
- ...more coming soon

You are allowed also to rezz and use your own horses or bikes or blankets and pose balls..., but
do not forget to clean your stuff. Autoreturn is sending objects back in 15 minutes. To travel on this island you can use couple walkers or boats that are ready for you all over this place.
Big balloon and more coming soon.

Enjoy your stay. If you have a question, suggestion or request or a problem, do not hesitate and send a message to : Andie Rau, Friendly Bear Team

The "castle" was actually a dwelling built on the ruins of a castle, or rather what was left of the corner of one. It was named "The Bear's Hole Corner" at (225, 75, 32), near the eastern edge of the sim. On the stone floor was a fox and a deer, in addition to logs, barrels, a sword rack, and a couple stone crosses. Climbing up the stairs, the inside led to a fireplace and dinner table in addition to a throne and bookshelf. A door led to a zipline, which would take someone to near the barn and fencing game.

The top floor was clearly for couples. Visitors there will find a four-poster bed with a canopy, a bathtub with pillows and blankets next to it, alongside oils and soaps, and a bear rug on the floor. All have poses for singles and couples, the latter being much more numerous and some clearly meant for private moments.

Not all of the sim is open to the public. The northern third is barred to just anyone coming in, including members of the sim group. It holds a few private cabins. The founder of the place is GummyMedvidek Resident, or "Friendly Bear" as his display name is now.

Unfortunately, the location's days are numbered. Scattered around the island were signs with the following message:

Sad News. Unfortunetly Friendly Bear Forest ends on April 20th 2015. Thank you all so much for visiting and your support. We are preparing a video for good memories. So you have any romantic picture that you made on the island? SHare it! Send it to Andie Rau inworld, or outside SL to my email: andie.rau@gmail.com.

The message ended with a hopeful note, asking people to subscribe in case the location ever came back.

There was a GB Island South, visible on the map, but with nothing connecting the two sims. Heading over, it was just a dance floor on an empty sim. There was a sign saying the sim was in the process of moving. Someone there greeted me, and didn't seem to be aware of goings on with their northern neighbor, sad to hear they were also going away.

Once again, the Friendly Bear Forest is at http://slurl.com/secondlife/GB Island North/ , and barring a reprieve will be gone April 20th.

Dancefloor Alandra

By Wesley Regenbogen

Dancefloor Alandra was created back in 2007 by Fig Valeska, and was then remade in 2010. Shortly afterward, the place was offline for 2 years. On March 9th, 2012 the club was re-opened in its current design. The current owner is DJDien Bailey.

The interior is special because it’s a spinning long playing record where you are standing on. It really moves, so you are both dancing and moving around. Your avatar seems to move on it and the same time you are still standing there. The rotating long playing record is really fascinating and intriguing at the same time. The nearby scenery is nice too. The club is on a sandy beach, with a half-sunk pirate ship nearby. Pretty neat.
There are live DJs playing most of the time and they usually take song requests. The music played in the club is mostly oldies and the 80s. This is a 100% Dutch club, so the language spoken is Dutch.
The club only uses group notifications as a form of communication for their members inworld. But they have a Facebook page as well where readers can find more information and view photos of the theme events.
The club is part of a sim where there are many things to do on a number of beach islands, although I have just visited the club itself for now.
Here’s a list of the evening theme events that will take place in Alandra in 2015 :
JANUARY : 03 – It’s cold outside, right?, 10 – Old Holland, 17 - Angels & Devils, 24 - D.I.S.C.O., 31 - Police academy

FEBRUARY : 07 – Star of the Evening , 14 - Elvis Look-a-like, 21 - Robots, 28 – Geezes, you look ugly

MARCH : 07 - Russian Night, 14 - Travo-Night, 21 – The Prehistoric Era, 28 - Flower Power

APRIL : 04 - Your Mum Party, 11 - Tiroler Evening, 18 – Mexican Nights, 25 - Moulin Rouge

MAY : 02 – Star of the Evening, 09 - Moustache party, 16 - Hollywood, 23 – Rasta Time , 30 - Jungle Fever

JUNE : 06 - Zombies, 13 - Black & White, 20 - Tiny Party, 27 – Silver Party

JULY : 04 - Disney party, 11 – The Flying Dutchmen, 18 - Hawaii Party, 25 - Monsters Inc.

AUGUST : 01 - Star of the Evening, 08 - Casino, 15 – Animal party, 22 - Egypt, 29 – Fairy tales

DECEMBER : 04 – Sinterklaas ( Santa Claus - on a Friday ), 12 - Gold Party, 19 – Christmas Evening, 28 – New Year’s Eve (on a Monday )

Personally, I think this place is special because of the unique dancefloor they created. Another club to add to my list ( just kidding, I don’t have a list ).
So, If you are a Dutch speaking person reading this, we could meet in the club and have fun there !

You can visit this club at the following location :

Ithil Ar Giliath

By Jamie

When people think of medieval roleplay, they think of people running at each other, swords drawn, and really to spill blood. While there are a lot of sims like this, this is not the case at Giliath. At Giliath, everyone has a role to play, and not everyone is in combat.

The roles of the sim are the usual medieval job classes, blacksmith, baker, inn keeper, butcher, etc. However, unlike other sims, this place has different species, and races, roleplaying within the same sim. Not only that, but this sim has more than one court around.

The allowed species on the sim are Humans, Elves, Half-Elves, Drow, Half-Drow, Fae, and Shifters. And under these, are different races, mainly under Fae, and shifters. Each species has their own area of the sim, from the caves of the Drow, Half-Drow, Fae, and Shifters, to the above ground of everyone else. However don't let this small list fool you, other species are allowed as long as you have permission. These species include werewolves, and vampires. There is even a robot rping on the sim as well (maybe they think he's a magical golem).

The sim is still recovering from the devastating loss of the other URA sims, but they are determined to continue going strong. This didn't even deter them away from building and amazing sim.

However, these aren't the only things that make the sim great. The admins and other roleplayers are extremely helpful. While other sims allow only admins to be greeters, this sim allows anyone to greet and help, but only the admins can approve of things. I mean, even I have greeted quite a few people to the sim. The admins are extremely helpful though, from sending links to new players, to better understand the role they play, to even helping with some of the payment for characters.

These things make this sim an awesome place to be, no matter what.

The New Bastogne WW2 Combat Roleplay Celebrates Five Years

By Bixyl Shuftan

On March Friday the 13th, the New Bastogne World War Two Combat Roleplay officially turned five years old. The occasion was marked with a hunt with a dozen crates hidden around the area for people to fine, each containing a vehicle. Plus there was a party at the "Sporthalle" in the Caen sim. The event began at 5PM SL time.

The building itself was drapped with flags with both the German cross, and the double-lighting bolt "SS" symbol. The three German teams, Heer (army), Luftwaffe, and SS, were the majority of those attending, but there were some from the Italian and Russian groups. A German band performed "Big Band" music and other tunes for the crowd.

Most of the people there were in uniform, though some chose formal civilian wear instead. Vickster Khun, the head of the combat roleplay, was there in a red gown. The people danced, chatting about old times.

At one point, Vickster had an announcement concerning one of the Heer officers, Sunra Saenz, whom while one of the leading officers simply had the tag of "officer" up. Vickster told him in front of everyone, "I actually have an honor I wish to bestow on you on behalf of Oberbefehlshaber West at the command of Oberkommando der Wehrmacht and officially promote you to the rank of Generalmajor." Sunra was at a loss for words, "I am speachless Generalleutnant, and very honoured indeed." Others toased and saluted him. One joked, "It's a custom that new generals have to buy a round of beers."

Vickster continued, "You deserve it very much, more than any member of this command I've served with, you've kept the faith and served as a model soldier for all branches." After some more talk, she turned to the others, "let me now tell you a little story about Sunra, and its something you don't know about him unless you were there, and you weren't (laughs), how Sunra got fired from First Armee by Octavian, who was commanding, remember? It was the second D-Day battle we had." Sunra Saenz answered, "Yes when I previously served with the Heer as Hauptman." "That's right, and you were executive officer as well. One of the best officers."

"And what happened? I can tell the story, it's funny. Well, funny and not funny. Sunra wasn't having fun. It's more complicated. What happened was we had our second big D-Day battle. It was sort of an annual even then. Sunra had been training with the Luftwaffe the night before. So the invasion starts, Sunra shows up in time, the battle goes great. He was doing panzers, but he still had his Luftwaffe uniform and title on. So octavian fired him. And Sunra had basically repelled the Allied armor after they landed. He won us the battle but Octavian fired him." Sunra mused, "I was all over the place. That battle lasted around 7 hours flat out (laughter)."

"Well, it always bothered me," Vickster told him, "Then I wasn't Oberkommando.  But I kept you in the Luftwaffe and recognized your awards. I don't think octavian really thought about what he was doing. Perhaps he was a frustrated. You say yourself he was a good commander." "I always wondered why he was so hard on me, yes," Sunra admitteded. "Anyway," Vickster continued, "what impressed me was you didn't give up or really demand anything. You just carried on like a real soldier, and did everything I ever asked you to, and took good care of the people you were placed over." She then chuckled, "Okay enough embarrassing you. ... I just wanted people to understand you paid your dues, you earned that rank and then some. You might meet a lot of group owners who are generals, but how many do you know who earned their rank from enlisted to officers in three branches?" One other German combatant commented, "I knew Allied fighters who when they saw that Sunra was participating....just left...out of fear of his prowess."

Vickster commented, "This is the first time we celebrated since the 1st anniversary. It's been so crazy all these years. It is till crazy after all these years." Sunra commented, "I miss the weekly dances Angus used to put on. Maybe this should become a weekly or monthly event." Vickster added, "Yes, I miss those too. We had a lot of fun even if we were sometimes bombed (laughs). That was in Seaone's sims." Sunra thought back, "Yes yes, so it was. That was another beautiful sim. But we saved the cathedral to use in New Bastogne at least. Heh heh." Vickster agreed, "We had a lot of fun there. It was a blow when those sims closed. But I understood."

Vickster concluded, "I'm really proud to have lasted this long when so many people said they would see us fail. Guys like Sunra who put up with a lot of crap and still kept at it, it really made the difference."

Vickster had to take care of something, and she bade everyone farewell and left the party, leaving Sunra and the others to continue on the celebration.

For those interested in the New Bastogne Combat RP, contact Vickter Khun, or the other team leaders. Besides the three German teams, Luftwaffe, Army, and Waffen SS, there is an Italian team, and several Allied teams, including Soviet. The Luftwaffe also has been having weekly scraps with an Allied air group.

Goodbye to the Cutlass "Donut" Club

By Bixyl Shuftan

On Saturday March 14 at 6PM SL time, Club Cutlass held it's St. Patrick's Day party. It was attended by many locals and friends of, sporting green outfits, green avatars, and sometimes both. That the prize for the outfit contest had been bumped up to 3,000 Lindens apiece for the men's and women's board by Nydia Tungsten helped bring in a few more people. But there was also news of a special announcement concerning the future of the club.

It's that time again where everyones Irish for a day. It's 'St. Patricks' at Club Cutlass. Get on your green, irish garb, leprechaun outfits, and grab up a mug of green beer as DJ Cynthia helps us celebrate the holiday. The shenanigans begin at 6 PM.

Tonight there will be a BIG ANNOUNCEMENT, concerning Club Cutlass, I hope you all showup to hear it.  It will be part of tonight's Dance at the Club. Which is St Patrick's Day and also your Purple Bunny Leader's RL B-Day.

There was much cheer as people danced and cracked jokes while Cynthia Farshore DJed for the event with a collection of Irish tunes old and new. Eventually, the hoofed DJ had an announcement.

"Good Evening to all, and I hope you are having a wonderful time. Now having said that get on the board it's L$3000 as this may be your last chance. Tonight we celebrate the Real life birthday of our great Chief Rita Mariner who is 164. Everyone raise a pint to her! HUZZRA! doesn't act or look like a day over 2. Here's to you as good as you are and here's to me as bad as I am, but as bad as I am and as good as you are, I'm as good as you as bad as I am!

"Sadly however, I must inform you that tonight is the last dance here in this doughnut club. As I play the last tune this ship will be decommissioned and scraped. It is an honor to be the last DJ on this stand but is filled with sadness too. There will be a large void here in this sky as many will look up, course flying out of my airport will be easier but to many of you that doesn't matter. Now for any news as to what this is about or what you are going to do there will be something in the Newser I think come Monday. So raise your glass and give it a toast."

There were a number of sad faces, groans, and "awwwws" from the audience, "You're closing Cutlass Rita?" "I just found this place again, and it's closing down already?" Rita, perhaps wanting to avoid trouble, asked, "Finish the Announcement, Cynthia." Shockwave Yareach told the others, "Wait for it. She's not done." Cynthia however was leaving the crowd in suspense. Rita's patience started to wear thin, " You do it, or I will." Cynthia then spoke again, "Ok I'll let you all off the hook ... WE HAVE A NEW CUTLASS!!!" "Rita continued, "Months Ago, I asked Shocky and Cynthia to take on the task of designing and building a new Club Cutlass. They have completed the Task."

The party went on, with a few last minute stragglers coming in as the news spread about the news.  The contest for the ladies' best St. Patrick's look turned out to be a five way tie between Liska Fuchs, Zagnut Avedon, Ambrivena Resident, Nydia Tungsten, and Dusk Griswold (who says she never wins). No one at the party could recall the last time this happened. So a first, and a last, for this version of Club Cutlass.

Club Cutlass has been a part of the Sunweaver community almost since it's very beginnings in 2007 as a pirate-themed club. Over the years, it's gone through four changes, most open-air clubs with no ceiling, such as the Meso-American pyramid design that was there until February 2010, which had a small waterfall ride and hidden rooms. Then came the "donut" design which had a steampunkish look inside with it's pipes and puffs of smoke, with a touch of pirate with it's cannons, grog vending machine, and the picture of the bunny with an eye patch on the dance floor. This had no hidden rooms, only a basement that was accessible by a rickety set of stairs with some shopping kiosks.

The new Club Cutlass, the sixth one in the history of the Estates, should be ready for the next scheduled party on Wednesday March 18. It's exact location is yet to be determined, but it will be a much larger build with separate rooms other than the dance floor.

And so the history of the Sunweaver's main club closes one chapter and is about to open another.
