Pictures From Easter Town
Pictures from Gemma Cleanslate
This Easter, Gemma Cleanslate went once again to a favorite place of hers this time of year: Laura Liberty's Easter Town in the Townies sim.
The place was mostly like what she saw last year when she did an article then. What was different was mostly the people, young and old.
So instead of a whole new article, she sent a number of pictures.
There were freebies available, such as bunny outfits and bouncy balls.
The place had it's own Easter egg hunt, with colored and golden eggs.
As before, there's much in the stores to buy.
At dusk and dawn, the place can take a pretty shade of pink.
And Laura's appreciative of the visits people give.
Easter Town will likely be up for a few more days. Then the place will be closed until another holiday.

Burn2 Thoughts and Pictures
By Gemma Cleanslate
Gemma Cleanslate
Well it is over.
The builds were great.
The performers and parties
were terrific.
The builds will remain until 11:59 the 8th of November so
you can still visit.
Some parcels will be hosting parties also.

Preview: Some Scenes in the RFL Walk
The night before The Walk, I had a chance to look at a few of the sights on the track.
Actually, the track doesn't have a true begining. This location in the Relay for Life sim, has info on the Relay for Life, and The Walk. A stall here will teleport you to a random location on the track. In the first few years, there was a true start and finish line, but with people porting there all at once, the lag was simply too much. One can also get a "walk and talk" backpack to follow others on the track, and a pedometer.

Some Special Events were planned for the four sims RFL Wish, Unity, Voulenteer, and Treatment, set up in a square on the west side of the track, leaning east. In the middle of those was a castle, where I found this sign showing where some of the shops, rides, and events were.
For those whom want an olympic challenge, a sled track, with both a bobsled for teams, and a luge single person sled.
Methinks I need more practice. Ohhhh, that hurt.

Approaching the New Babbage area, there was the Dr Who camp.

Scenes from The Lost Gardens of Apollo
Last weekend was the final chance for people to stop by the Lost Gardens of Apollo before it vanished. Here are some of the pictures I took.

A sculpture near the entry area, showing a demonic being reaching from a tar pit to grab an angel-like being. The wing and skull on the ground suggest one other angel wasn't able to escape.

Samlowry Hawks, one of the sim staff, sporting a white suit and pair of wings, leading a tai chi group.

I had been chatting with friends during my looking around. A couple came with me, and we decided to check out one of the pools.
Apollo was truly well built sim. It was a shame to see it go. Perhaps it will reappear in some form in the future.

A shopping area, now devoid of customers.

A spot for couples to relax. The place had a number of them.
