Pictures From Easter Town

Pictures from Gemma Cleanslate

This Easter, Gemma Cleanslate went once again to a favorite place of hers this time of year: Laura Liberty's Easter Town in the Townies sim.

The place was mostly like what she saw last year when she did an article then. What was different was mostly the people, young and old.

So instead of a whole new article, she sent a number of pictures.

There were freebies available, such as bunny outfits and bouncy balls.

The place had it's own Easter egg hunt, with colored and golden eggs.

As before, there's much in the stores to buy.

At dusk and dawn, the place can take a pretty shade of pink.

And Laura's appreciative of the visits people give.

Easter Town will likely be up for a few more days. Then the place will be closed until another holiday.

Easter Town

By Gemma Cleanslate

Hooray ! Easter Town is open. Laura Liberty has recreated her cute little town with all the fun activities again this year.  Just landing there is a burst of spring with all that goes with it. Right away it feels like Easter .Across the bridge the band is playing and the Peeps race track is ready and waiting for you .Be careful! If you want a good overview of the whole town take a balloon ride. This is not a typical balloon ride so hang on which ever way you want.

There is a fun Easter egg coloring contest going on with a place to work on your egg and then send it off for placement on the judging stand. There are rules so get the notecard that explains all. The top winner gets 1000 L. There are several categories with other  L prizes to try for. The total winnings are 4000L so take a chance!

Do you need anything for Easter decor? If so this is the place to look. All the food decor dispenses food. There are garlands , arches,  lots of bunnies, balloons and so much more. The clothing ranges from very casual to formal. Along the walk by the way, you will find gachas too.  Do not miss the free bunny hopper ! There are several ways to get around and I try a few but choose to walk,

My favorite part of Easter town is taking a picture with the Easter Bunny.Look for her. This is not the cute little Easter bunny that quietly hops around mind you .This is Tina (tanyja Resident)!

Fun interactive builds are all over the region just look for them as you walk around . This is a wonderful place to take photos . Here I am after gorging on chocolate with the burping bunny. Yum .

There is a hunt going on so look for Easter eggs hidden everywhere. Townies group members get some special eggs so consider joining the group. That way you can keep an eye on the other towns that appear during the year. They are all great fun. Halloween is the next one .. a long wait! This Town will be here until the 22nd. Go immerse yourselves in Easter.

Easter Town

By Gemma Cleanslate

Laura Liberty does it again! Easter Town is ready for kids and grownups, people, animals, furries  to roam and have fun. Decor and outfits for Easter are in the cute shops circling the town.

I love the band that is entertaining just across the bridge from the entrance. The carrot car is a fun way to travel the roadway but be careful! There are other ways to travel that you will discover . I enjoyed the bubble ride .The balloon ride is always  a good look from above to check out all the possibilities.

I like to walk the roadway because there is a multitude of activities between the shops. tina (tanyja Resident) is sitting in the bunny chair where you can  take a picture with a bunny, and she is a strange bunny as usual. Here is my friend , Dally(Dallas Russell).  posing on her lap.

Absolutely do not miss the Peep Race.. If you don't really want to race at least go around the track to experience the sights along the way. I liked the peep papparazi I met on my tour. The track is not as easy as it looks at the start.

When you land pick up the information for the egg hunt. Lots of nice goodies in those eggs and number 1 is right there. The rest will not be that visible. Have fun! For those with talent in texturing there is an egg painting contest with a prize of  7000 overall. Check the decorating area for the notecard explaining all the rules to follow to qualify and all the prizes! Good luck to those who enter!

There is much more to explore and experience in the sim and fun adds to collect and wear . Make sure you get there this coming week before Easter. I could go on and on but want you to find your own amusements . However look for the freebie Bunny-hoppy Ball and others!!

Easter Town

By Gemma Cleanslate

Easter Town is open for fun! Laura Liberty has opened it up for all to come shop and play. I was talking to the unusual Easter Bunny (tina (tanyja Resident)) who helps Laura with all the townies and is also a Santa “helper” .There are six events of Townies during the year but I have not seen them all yet. This is my third. You have until about the 18th to get over there and enjoy.

I took a balloon ride over town to get a good overview.  In the quaint colorful shops you will find any decor you want for your home or region. I  also saw some really Easter clothes and cute costumes for adults and kids. Lots of kids things as you imagine with Easter bunnies, eggs , and  toys, party decorations for kiddies and adults.

Outside there are wonderful games and decor to buy and you can try them out before you invest.  I found an avatar working on an egg decoration in the rezz zone just for that purpose. There is a 7000L prize contest  going on so get your creative juices going . I picked up a cute free egg avatar and will try that on.

There is a great little carrot car to rezz and drive around in or you can cruise  in one of the  broken egg shells along the waterway. There is a race track for peeps Races.

20 Eggs are placed around the region inside the shops and out so make sure you look for those cute prizes while you are there. I am in the middle of finding them so will be going back for more searching. I am glad they are big enough to see because I give up hunts quickly if I cant find things.

Make sure you get yourself there this week especially if you need decor for your event or home. Easter Town will be up only until April 18. If you want to keep aware of the townies and the builds during the year you can join the group, or you can subscribe for messages. There is a subscriber sign near the entrance.

Easter Town

I was able to see a few Easter events this weekend. There were a number of small events, mostly egg hunts of some kind. But the biggest show was probably at "Easter Town."

"Easter Town is a holiday destination that dips you in colorful happiness, visual wonders and experiences sweeter than a chocolate bunny. Ten talented designers have come together to sell an eclectic range of original items. Combine this with egg hunts, peep races and other holiday activities, and Easter Town is an panoramic explosion of holiday joy."

Dropping in, it took a few minutes for most everything to rezz due to the crowd there. What got my attention about the people around were the several child avatars around, "Look, the Easter Bunny!" Hopping around in a circle were a "BugsBuny Resident" and a "BabsBuny Resident," in avatars resembling the cartoon characters. I never found out if they were part of Easter Town, or a couple alts made by a visitor for the holiday. By clicking on the "Bunny Hop" cube in the middle, one could join them.

The place itself had a cartoonish style, with the stores made with crooked windows and colored roofs. There were also a number of whimsical exhibits, such as an Easter egg machine that cranked out colored eggs factory style, and one of the Easter Bunny after apparently having over-indulged on his candies until he had a bellyache.

There were a number of freebies around, such as a bouncy ball one could sit on and bounce around on. There was also a freebie "egg avatar," which looked strange and hilarious with eggs with human heads walking about. There was also a basket for an egg hunt going around on the sim. Looking around, I found only one egg.

Some attractions one had to pay to play, such as the Peep Race. The stores themselves had a number of Easter-related goods for sale from clothes to jewelry and more. But one didn't have to spend money here to have a pleasant time. The freebies and cartoony atmosphere made the place well worth a visit.

Easter Town is at Elizabeth Town (151, 104, 22). The exhibit is scheduled to remain up until April 15th.
